Lydia Kay (Founder/CEO/Editor in Chief)

British actress born in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Lydia started performing at the age of six with local dramatics group Leighton Buzzard Children's Theatre, and later graduated from East 15 Acting School. She has been in numerous independent films including 'Survivors', 'Christmas Slay', 'Desperately Seeking', 'The Witching Hour', 'Kismet', 'Clinical' and 'Invasion of the Not Quite Dead'. Lydia performed throughout the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has taken to the stage for both touring pantomime and interactive theatre, and become a professional scare actor working in numerous mazes and attractions at venues such as Thorpe Park, Madame Tussaud's London and The London Dungeons. Last summer she played one of two leads in the new sci-fi play SUM (which she also directed), by Stars or Mars theatre company, at London's Etcetera Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe Festival. In 2014 she founded ActingHour as a way for people in all aspects of the industry to connect, create opportunities and share their work.

Melanie Crossey (Company Director/Presenter)

English actress originally from Glastonbury, Somerset. She discovered her passion for the performing arts at an early age through dance classes in ballet, contemporary and jazz. She eventually progressed onto performing in musicals and pantomimes, before receiving her degree in Performing Arts from Bath Spa University. A short while after graduating she had the opportunity to live and work in Italy, performing in shows and workshops all over the country. With a life long love of film and TV, professionally, her career has focused mainly on the recorded arts, performing in short films such as the thriller 'P1OUS', sci-fi epic 'SYNC', horror 'Holland Park', and the tragic 'Rite Of Passage'. More recently however she has started to move into theatre work, playing Syne in the sci-fi thriller SUM at the Camden Fringe Festival, and performing in Voice by Stars or Mars Theatre. Being part of ActingHour has created even more opportunities for her to work within an industry she loves where she now has a genuine reason to watch as many films and shows as humanly possible!
