ActingHour

#ActingHour happens twice every Wednesday in both the UK and USA at 1-2pm GMT/DST and 1-2pm PST/PDT!
It is for EVERYONE in our industry.

What is ActingHour?

  • EVERYTHING to do with film, TV and theatre. No matter what department you are in, be it in front or behind the camera, on the stage or backstage, or any other job role... If you work in the industry, we want you to get involved!
  • News / reviews / interviews / events / etc... See what's going on!
  • A chance for industry members to get their work seen.
  • A network of support and a way to connect people to others in the industry.
  • Anything industry related can be shared during Wednesday's #ActingHour on Twitter to add to the hashtag's news feed of updates, but you can also tweet us directly whenever you like. Get in touch @ActingHour
  • We also run ActingHour every Wednesday via our Facebook page, just check out our events list there to join in.
  • As well as this we also have something different happening on Twitter everyday, so go check it out!
  • Networking events to meet people in person and connect.
  • Bridging the gap between mainstream and independent.
  • Helping to showcase talent that deserves recognition from all areas of the industry.

What do we do?

  • We aim to connect people in the industry and help to create new opportunities to get your work seen by others. The hope is that this will lead to more work!
  • As well as running #ActingHour twice every Wednesday, we promote and review both major and independent films / theatre / television, and also hold competitions for you to win Actor of the Week, Filmmaker of the Fortnight and Show of the Season, among other competitions, prizes and opportunities.
  • We run networking events and we also host workshops and seminars.
  • We will give you the best advice we can on anything you ask, or direct you to the right people to help you.
  • Remember to keep an eye on our exclusive Special Offers page!
  • If you're looking for cast / crew / venues / festivals / casting directors / agents / publicity / etc... We follow anyone involved in the industry on Twitter and add them to the appropriate list, so do take a look at our lists here to help you find the people you need.
  • You can advertise with us or place your work right here on our website for everyone to see. Take a look at the For You... page for more details on this.

Who can get involved?

  • Anyone and everyone involved in the industry from all over the world! Actors, filmmakers, casting directors, agents, producers, directors, writers, backstage crew, theatres, DOPs, MUAs, set/costume/lighting/sound designers, and many more!
  • During #ActingHour every Wednesday on Twitter and Facebook don't worry if you're not from the UK or the USA, just tweet at the right time for where you want to work! Remember you always tweet/comment for where you want to work, not where you are based!
