Yesterday we attended the London Surviving Actors event at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel.
"Surviving Actors was set up by actors for actors to help and encourage them in all areas of their life as a professional actor. We run acting conventions (trade shows) throughout the year to help actors develop and sustain their career and to create new opportunities for themselves. We do this by creating an environment where actors can meet industry professionals to help develop a career in acting.
The convention is free to attend and gives people the chance to meet and network with other professional actors seeking work and looking to develop their careers.
The events are a realistic and honest approach to real life as an actor; we don’t shy away from the off-periods.
Our extensive range of workshops and seminars also help to focus on the craft of the actor as well as supplying essential advice on the practicalities of working as an actor."
- Surviving Actors
It was a busy day with huge numbers of actors flocking to the event to take advantage of their fantastic selection of workshops and seminars. We even attended a few ourselves!
While we were there we also did at Twitter takeover of the official Surviving Actors account to live tweet what we got up to throughout the day.
Take a look at some of our photos from the event:
