'Flotsam' Screening

On the 22nd January we attended the screening of 'Flotsam' at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.

Flotsam is a short psychological thriller directed by Michael Beddoes and starring Sikander Malik. While out on a morning run alongside the Thames, Vinay Jassall makes a grizzly discover.

'Big Hero 6' - UK Gala Screening

On Sunday 18th January our founder Lydia Kay attended the UK Gala Screening of Oscar Nominated 'Big Hero 6' along with some of the team from The Fan Carpet.

Big Hero 6 is set in a futuristic city called San Fransokyo. We follow robotics nerd Hiro Hamada, who, after a terrible life changing accident, befriends an inflatable healthcare robot created by his brother Tedashi. Together with the robot Baymax, Hiro and his friends team up and set off to save the city from an evil super villain who has stolen Hiro's invention to take over!

The screening took place at Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square, London.
Director Don Hall and producer Roy Conli were both attended to speak before the film started and you can see some of what they had to say in this video.

The film has been Oscar nominated for Best Animated Feature Film.

And then to make things even more exciting an exclusive preview of Disney's new animated short Feast was shown before the film started!
Feast is also Oscar nominated and is up for Best Animated Short Film.

Here are the nominees for the 2015 Oscars!

The 87th Academy Awards will be hosted by award-winning stage and screen actor Neil Patrick Harris.

The event will take place on Sunday 22nd February.

Below are the category nominees announced by on Thursday 15th January actor Chris Pine, Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, and directors Alfonso Cuarón and J.J. Abrams.

The show will air live on ABC.

'The Theory of Everything' - UK Premiere

Our founder Lydia Kay, in affiliation with The Fan Carpet, attended the UK Premiere of 'The Theory of Everything' at Odeon Leicester Square on the 3rd January 2015.

The film is biographical and based on the inspirational and extraordinary life of Professor Stephen Hawking.

There on the blue carpet she interviewed actress Felicity Jones, who plays Jane Hawking in the film, and producer Lisa Bruce.
